At the heart of South African youth empowerment and skills development lies the problem of inadequate or insufficient drivers’ licenses among our youth who make up most of our economically active population. Their growth and development are the future of our beloved rainbow nation.
Therefore when we learned that most of our country’s youth have no drivers’ licenses and don’t know how to drive, we were shaken and instead of complaining we came up with a solution, because currently our youth cannot be employed by uber, bolt, Takealot, Mr D foods, Dstv, RCT, DHL, The courier guy, Fastway couriers, Checkers 60/60, Pick ‘n pay asap, Spar2u, Woolies dash, Makro, Builders, TFI online and many more. This is just but a few of the companies that make up a booming logistics space in South Africa with even Amazon set to make their debut in the coming months. Due to having no driver’s license.
At Mordecai Ndlovu Foundation we have decided to partner up with Seasana Driving school and tutorial campus in Braamfontein to provide students with drivers licenses and the driving skill set to enable them to become employable in the driving space, drive safely, obey the rules of the road and most importantly be able to make a side hustle as they navigate the challenges of unemployment in the country.

Getting a drivers’ license is not cheap which is why we are knocking on doors to get help
In funding such an initiative because the reality is that modern day life in south Africa is expensive and most parents cannot afford a driver’s license for their kids on top of the tuition, transport fare, grocery and lunch, data, cellphone, laptop, rent and everything else that comes with life in the 21st century
Therefore, we are committed to securing funding for this massive endeavor to change peoples lives for the better forever.
